Hai yall the name's Calaban. I'm the creator of this forum. My hobbies consist of videogames, photography, and apparently coding.
Honestly didn't think I'd enjoy coding. Then again it is a love hate relationship. /j
Other than running this forum I also run two discord servers for adults. One of those servers serves a similar purpose to this forum of being a general melting pot of hanging out, content creation, art, and games! I wanted to have this forum to at least have the experience of running one. I also wanted a place of my own to discuss stuff about virtual pet websites because they seem to be one of my special interests that I never realized was a special interest. My first virtual pet website was Chicken Smoothie. My current profile says I joined in 2016 but I had a profile around 2015 that I forgot all the info too after returning from a hiatus of not playing. For a long time the only pet site I played was Chicken Smoothie because no other sites caught my interest. But also at the time I wasn't digging hard enough to find ones I did like because I was only a kid. Being an adult now I went through and did tons of hunting on currently active pet sites thus leading me to create the virtual pet sites unofficial masterlist! It's definitely one of my favorite passion projects I've done other than making my website, discord servers, and this forum. I'm hoping I can get some good use out of this forum turning it into a fun place to vibe but also a good place for semi-niche information and resources.
Before I heavily got into coding though I spent most of my time with school, my friends, and videogames, which of course I still do just as consistently as I used to other than school. Videogames was my big connecting factor with me and all my friends most of which are long distance of course. When I was little I played stuff like Animal Crossing City Folk and Animal Jam heavily those were the two most major games I played. If you played animal jam I was moonriver551 and then I moved to a profile called wenonasky which is my current profile. I don't play on classic anymore but I play on play wild occasionally on the wenonasky profile. I do find my moonriver551 username funny though because I made it my username for literally no reason and yet a bunch of people were like "Like the song? " which I still to this day haven't listened to. At the time I didn't even know it existed. I would occasionally play other things though on the N64 and Wii though my dad did most of the work for some. I also heavily played a game called Lead the Meerkats on the Wii. I only had the demo though and have never played the full game because we couldn't afford it at the time but I adored the game. I'm hoping to eventually find a way to play the full thing. Around middle school is when I started branching out the most with things like Minecraft, FNAF and Fortnite. Though Fortnite was more so late middle school. FNAF I have never properly played myself because I scare easily though it's getting easier to not be that way now but at the time I would watch Markiplier play it. I still hold a special place for FNAF in my heart. Nowadays I have a huge library of games I love but Skyrim is holding the top place right now because it's the one thing I've always dreamed of for an RPG. I am and always have been a huge 3Ds fan though and got back into homebrewing it again recently and finally playing games I never got to when I was younger.
Otherrrr than all that I am also a photographer (which I also said at the top), and a cat dad. My cat's name is Oliver and he's your typical orange cat energy but he's white with orange spotting. Which apparently is still classified under the orange cat territory. He's the sweetest and most playful little guy he also really enjoys staring out the balcony window and staring at people. With my photography it's one of the hobbies I do the least but that's because I don't go outside enough and I heavily prefer nature photography. I really love plants though I know close to nothing about them. I share my photography portfolio on my ko-fi for free and hi-rez downloads so you can use it for personal phone or desktop wallpapers. You may also use it in social banners as long as you link back to the ko-fi. On there you will also be able to find a gallery that holds photos of Oliver for free viewing as well.
Anyways that's enough about me. If you're curious you can find out more about me on my website! I hope ya'll enjoy this forum.
